Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
Official public notice is hereby given that the City of Des Moines, Iowa, Municipal Housing Agency (DMMHA) will open the waiting list for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program for applicants that qualify for a Mainstream Voucher Preference only. The waiting list for this preference only will be open beginning DECEMBER 7, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A MAINSTREAM VOUCHER PREFERENCE:
You must meet all of the following criteria in order to be considered:
- Be a non-elderly person (under the age of 62) with a disability and;
- Previously experienced homelessness and;
- Be a current client in a HUD funded permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing program.
