Community Vision and Plan - The Path Forward

Communities which strive to ensure all households are safely and stably housed will also achieve the ambitious goal of ending and preventing homelessness. To attain this vision, communities must implement and invest in best practices, tailor solutions to their community’s specific assets and needs, and mobilize the broader community to stem the flow of families and individuals into homelessness and avoid entry into the homelessness response system.

During the first half of 2019, the Continuum of Care worked with provider partners, community members, local organizations, and city and county officials to create a community vision and plan for the homeless system in Polk County.
